The 2010 Dr. Pepper Big XII Championship
In what may very well have been the final Big XII Championship, No. 13 Nebraska matched up against no. 10 Oklahoma for the 2010 Big XII Championship held at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas on December 4, 2010. Oklahoma narrowly defeated Nebraska 23-20.

This game matched the 9-3 Missouri Tigers against the 11-1 Oklahoma Sooners in a blowout. The #4 Sooners racked up 38 points in the first half to the Tigers 7. The second half was much the same as the Sooners added another 24 points while the Tigers managed only 14. The final score was Oklahoma 62, Missouri 21.
About the Big XII Championship
Entering the 13th season as a Bowl Championship Series, the first championship was held in the 1996 season. Since then the Big XII has had a nation-leading sixth team play in the BCS National Championship Game in 2008. Between the years of 2000-2005, the Big XII was represented in the BCS National Championship game five times in six years.
